STARTUP Refugees
STARTUP REFUGEES is an innovative educational and mentoring program to help refugees start-up scalable businesses. This program has been successfully prototype by Friends of Refugees (FOR) over a two year period and was initiated by participants who wanted to start their own businesses, but were not being assisted elsewhere due to their limited English. 19 successful graduates have gone on to start high growth businesses in blue-collar industries and now employ numerous refugees with a similarly disadvantaged background within 2 years.
