Simon is a highly regarded Biography Writer and Coach with post graduate qualifications in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). Simon has taught at RMIT and has coordinated education programs at the Immigration Museum, the National Trust Victoria and the ASRC Dandenong. Simon has been connected to grassroots volunteering from a young age and he continues to support and seek out, in his words, ordinary people with amazing lives”. In his role as the coordinator for the Mentor Program Simon trains and connects mentors as friends for Friends of Refugees members who could do with a bit of help navigating their way in the complex world of trying to re-start lives in a new country.
