SAI CANDIAH

Service to the Community

Sai Candiah began his service to the community back home in Sri Lanka where he volunteered as a computer technician and disability nurse working with doctors without borders. As soon as he arrived in Australia as an asylum seeker he began to dedicate his time as a computer technician at the asylum seeker resource centre. He was also actively involved in distributing food parcels to refugees. He currently volunteers at the Monash Refugee Health service and tirelessly helps patients. He was awarded the “Certificate of Recognition” in 2015 for his excellent service. Sai’s friends describe him as a “dedicated individual, striving to help society”.
